Located near the confluence of the Paglia and Tiber rivers, where the Roman port of Pagliano [archeological site] was discovered and brought to light in the late 1800s, the Castello di Corbara is in Umbria, the green heart of Italy, only 15 minutes from the city of Orvieto, in the River Park of the Tiber.
The holiday farms and the restaurant with its typical Umbrian cuisine and an impressive fireplace is located here, as well as the swimming pools which offers all guests a pleasant relaxing vacation. All this will leave you with a magnificent holiday in Umbria to remember.
Paths to try on foot, mountain bike or horseback with indications of the time required and the difficulty. The equestrian center of the Tenuta di Corbara is dedicated to horseback riding in the countryside. Our horseback riding specialist will help you discover all the possible trails and outings on the estate. Horseback riding in the Tenuta di Corbara is organized according to the experience, skills and ages of the participants. Riding lessons available for beginners.
Free tours of the cellars and wine tastings are given on booking. The tours proceed through long rows of oak aging casks, to wine storage, production, and bottling areas, and finally to the tasting room where you can try our fine wines. Double rooms, twin rooms with bath and apartments in farmhouses with from 4 to 8 beds are available for guests. The holiday homes are:

Casale Oglieto (apartments, 4/7 pax - max 14 pax);
Casale Ponticello (9 twin and double rooms + 1 single room);

For over thirty years the estate has been the proud owner of around 140 hectares of vineyards. One of the principal aims of the estate is that of revaluating the autochthonous species of grapes that have been growing here for over a hundred years, so as to put wines on the market that are intimately connected with the territory of origin.
Each vineyard is created under the scrupulous and knowing control of our enologists, Franco Bernabei and Marco Bernabei.

For over thirty years the estate has been the proud owner of around 140 hectares of vineyards. Among the red grape varieties (the estate is located entirely within the ambit of DOC Lago di Corbara) it has been decided to increase the presence of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese and Montepulciano. Among the white grapes (the estate falls into the oldest zone of DOC Orvieto and can therefore proudly vaunt the term Orvieto Classico on its labels) mention should be made of an interesting clone of Grechetto that was discovered in the estate.
