The fifteenth century building which houses the Residenza Antica Canonica is located in the old town of Città di Castello, right beside the Cathedral.
Once used for housing the Cathedral’s canons, the building boasts an historic atmosphere thanks to a renovation which respected the original construction. The interior design features doorways made of local stone called Pietra Serena, decorated ceilings and an important fresco from the sixteenth century that reproduces the famous Crucifixion by Raphael.

The Suites/Apartments have been furnished with old style furniture, made of solid wood according to the ancient artisans' techniques that are typical of this location. The original beams are also still visible. All of the Suites/Apartments are equipped with a comfortable kitchen or kitchenette, complete with a refrigerator and cooker, pots, dishes, cutlery and everything that may prove necessary for an intimate lunch or dinner.

Travel information
By car:
- From Milan and Bologna exit at Cesena. Take the E45 highway in the direction of Perugia-Roma and exit at Città di Castello (North or South), then follow the signposts for the city centre;
- From Rome, exit at Orte. Take the E 45 highway in the direction of Perugia-Cesena and exit at Città di Castello (North or South), then follow the signposts for the city centre;
- From Florence: A1 motorway, exit at Arezzo, direction: Città di Castello;
- From Fano and from the Adriatic take the E 78 highway (Flaminia) and the state road SS 257.
We will give special permits to guests who intend to arrive by car with which they will be able to access the old town.
